Theoretical background

The adult educator-coach competence Meeting ethical principles and professional standards in coaching of female learners includes the knowledge and understanding of the ethical principles and coaching standards. The adult educator-coach - through the understanding of coaching standards and ethical principles - will discover the underlying mechanisms of this profession and will thus develop a good tools and methods. Beyond that, ethical principles and professional standards are the first building block of trust between the educator-coach and their clients. This competence gives more clarity to female learners and makes them feel safe.

The competence is based on the understanding and application of the ethical principles and professional coaching standards to female learners coaching. The development of this competence includes also the knowledge and application of the appropriate coaching techniques and methods in work with female learners, that will be achieved through both theoretical and practical learning. The knowledge of the ethical principles includes the awareness of EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and of its application to coaching situations. Awareness and implementation of professional standards in coaching of female learners is also based on the development of a multicultural perspective, fundamental to understand and respect cultural diversity and learners’ backgrounds. 

To improve and increase the adult educator-coach competence Meeting ethical principles and professional standards in coaching of female learners the following main five skills will be developed during the training course: 

  1. Applying the appropriate ethical principles to female learners coaching.
  2. Understanding professional coaching standards.
  3. Using the appropriate coaching techniques and methods in work with female learners.
  4. Awareness of EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  5. Respecting cultural diversity.
